Senior Caregiver – Private Family
Our family is looking for a dependable and compassionate caregiver to assist our grandfather in his home in the Zephyrhills/Wesley Chapel area (33541).
This is a direct private-family position, not a staffing agency or home-care company.
Pay: $15–$20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Primary schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
We are also interested in applicants who may be available for weekend, part-time, or backup/relief shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and supervision
- Assist with normal daily activities as needed
- Prepare simple meals
- Provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping related to his care
- Assist with mobility and help him stay physically active
- Provide personal-care assistance as needed
- Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
- Communicate relevant updates or concerns to family members
Qualifications
- Dependable, patient, and trustworthy
- Comfortable working independently in a private home
- Reliable transportation to and from the home
- Previous senior-care or caregiving experience preferred
- CNA, HHA, CPR/BLS, nursing, pre-nursing, or healthcare experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate
- Able to provide references
- Willing to complete appropriate background screening
