What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wood Restoration & Touch-Up Technician (Training Provided) position at Alkat Restoration?
We’re looking for people who enjoy working with their hands, being on job sites, moving around during the day, and learning a skilled craft. If you’ve worked in construction, carpentry, painting, flooring, cabinet installation, furniture repair, or any trade, or if you’re mechanically minded and willing to learn, you may be a great fit.

What the work is
You’ll learn professional wood touch-up and restoration techniques used to repair scratches, dents, scuffs, and surface damage on finished wood. This includes color matching, blending stains, and applying finishes to make repairs disappear. It’s detailed work done on active job sites, and your work will be seen and appreciated immediately.

- Self-starter who shows up ready
- Problem solver who can think critically
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and respectful on job sites
- Artistic or mechanical aptitude is a plus (not required)
- Construction, maintenance, painting, or carpentry experience is helpful
Training & growth
- No experience required - we train the right people
- Starting wage listed is for trainees
- Clear pathway to higher skill levels, raises, and long-term growth
- Opportunity to develop into leadership/management (training others, running small crews, owning jobsite communication, and helping coordinate work)
- Strong chance to build a career through relationships in the local construction industry
