What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud Enterprise Architect position at Alkaeus?
Job Requirements:
- 10-15 years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years in a formal Enterprise Architect role.
- Deep knowledge of EA frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and the ability to apply them pragmatically in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Expert-level understanding of AWS (Azure or Google Cloud Platform is a plus) and how cloud-native services integrate into a broader enterprise landscape.
- Proven ability to design multi-tier, distributed systems including microservices, event-driven architectures, and complex integration patterns (APIs, ESB).
- Strong understanding of business processes, and the ability to perform gap analysis between current and future states.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams of Solution and Technical Architects without direct authority.
- A strategic "builder" mindset with the agility to pivot and a genuine thirst for staying ahead of emerging tech trends (AI, IoT, Blockchain).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional and/or TOGAF 9/Enterprise Architecture certifications.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in a high-growth Professional Services or global consulting firm.
