We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at a busy veterinary clinic. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing excellent customer service.
- Schedule appointments and manage electronic appointments effectively.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update client information as needed.
- Assist veterinary technicians with animal restraint and handling during examinations.
- Process payments and manage front desk operations smoothly.
- Communicate staff instructions to clients effectivley.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Familiarize yourself with veterinary terminology to effectively communicate with staff and clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology is highly desirable.
- Skills in animal handling, restraint, and care are essential for this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients.
- Proficiency in front desk operations including scheduling software is beneficial.
