POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Worker
REPORTS TO (TITLE): Plant Operations Director
EMPLOYEE PAY STATUS: Non-Exempt
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the facility in good repair. Cleans all areas of the facility by performing routine housekeeping duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, building repair and painting.
· Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and systems as required.
· Performs preventative maintenance duties to all physical structures of the facility and complies with all building safety codes. This is to include facility equipment and associated controls.
· Assists in replacing, installing, repairing ant testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances and lighting systems and total building repair.
· Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
· Has a thorough knowledge of how to use and maintain plant tools and equipment.
· Cleans windows, walls, floors, beds, and furniture.
· Reports any furniture, fixtures, building, equipment repairs required to Lead Engineering Mechanic.
· Performs related duties as requested.
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Licensing:
· High School or equivalent required, plus technical training and experience.
Knowledge and Experience:
· Prior experience in facilities maintenance required. (Knowledge of boilers, building systems, construction etc.)
· Required license- Driver’s License

· Proficiency with software and/or equipment (Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is frequently required to do the following:
· Use standards office equipment and access, input, and retrieve information from a computer. Use computer keyboard with manual and finger dexterity and wrist-finger speed sufficient to perform repetitive actions efficiently for extended periods of time.
· Communicate effectively in person or via telephone in a manner which can be understood by those with whom the person is speaking, including a diverse population.
· Give and follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Perform complex mental functions and basic arithmetic functions; interpret complex laws, regulations, and policies; collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.55 per hour
