What are the responsibilities and job description for the Greenskeeper II, Ranch Course position at Alisal Properties Inc?
Alisal, a luxury 10,500 private acre working Ranch and Resort in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Greenskeeper 2.
This position is responsible for all the tasks associated with the daily upkeep of the golf course and grounds, including but not limited to: Operating mowing equipment; mowing greens, tees, fairways, rough, bunker banks and native grass. Performing bunker maintenance; raking, moving sand, edges and pulling weeds. Ensuring that all area around trees, bunkers, cart paths and signs are maintained and edged. Planting and watering trees and plants as necessary and directed. Watering greens and assisting with the fixing of irrigation heads. Maintaining course set up; cup cutting, tee cleanup, divot filling, ball mark repair, trash pickup, and golf ball washer maintenance.
- Prior Golf Course experience required.
- Full understanding of all general golf course maintenance tasks and activities
o Changing cups
o Raking bunkers
o Sod repairs
o Small tool operations
- Desire to establish outstanding, authentic, and memorable interactions with internal and external guests.
- Integrity, dependability, and adaptability.
- Skilled at multi-tasking, heightened attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and organization.
- Commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull minimum 50 lbs.
- Able to work on site and to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for duration of shift.
- Ability to work outside, indoors, in varying temperatures.
- Must be able to present proof of identity and legal right to work in the United States post offer, pre-employment.
