Job description
Job Title: General Accountant
Work schedule: 8am -5 pm (one hour lunch break), full time
Salary: 42000-60000 /year
Work location: Chicago, IL Greensboro, NC
We are seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial accounting, regulatory reporting, and possess strong technical accounting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and audits
- Conduct accrual accounting and maintain accurate records
- Utilize accounting software for data analysis and reporting
- Handle debits, credits, and journal entries
- Provide support for technical accounting issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance
- Bilingual: English and Madeiran is required
- Skills in QuickBooks or other accounting software
- Strong knowledge of GAA principles and financial reporting standards
- Ability to perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
