This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity, safety, and functionality of our property's guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house systems. The ideal candidate will possess a well-rounded technical skillset and a proactive approach to troubleshooting during swing shifts, nights, and weekends.
The hourly wage we reasonably expect to pay for this position is $25.00-$30.00.

Responsibilities also include:
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and operational areas
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment across multiple systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life-safety systems
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently
- Maintain knowledge of pool systems, kitchen equipment, and general building operations
- Complete all maintenance requests, work orders, and HotSOS tickets promptly and to Forbes standards
- Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Support the Engineering team in preventative maintenance programs and special projects
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and Hyatt standards
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to maintain a seamless guest experience
- Adhere to Hyatt's Core Values while maintaining a positive, guest-focused attitude
- Minimum 1 year of building maintenance experience in hospitality or a related field
- Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Prior hotel or resort experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics preferred
- Basic computer proficiency, including Windows-based systems and mobile work order applications
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
- Availability to work swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods (entire shift) and move throughout the property both inside and outside in varied environmental conditions, frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders
- Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds as needed, 150 pounds assisted
- Frequent use of computer systems, phones, tablets, radios, and standard office equipment
- Must be able to work in a front-of-house environment with guest interaction
