A highly regarded, full-service law firm is conducting a confidential search for a Partner to join and help lead its Real Estate practice. The firm has built a distinguished reputation serving institutional investors, developers, lenders, and corporate clients across a broad spectrum of commercial real estate matters. Position Summary
The Partner will serve as a senior leader within the Real Estate practice, responsible for originating and managing client relationships, supervising complex transactions, and contributing to the group's strategic growth.This individual will work closely with firm leadership and collaborate across practice areas including Finance, Corporate, Environmental, and Land Use.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development, and financing.
- Originate and grow client relationships; serve as primary relationship partner for a portfolio of institutional and corporate clients.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop associates and counsel within the Real Estate group.
- Collaborate with partners across the firm on cross-disciplinary matters involving real estate components.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including pitches, proposals, and client events.
- Advise clients on risk, structure, and strategy across all stages of complex real estate transactions.
- Ensure the highest standards of client service, responsiveness, and legal quality.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing.
- Minimum of 10 years of real estate transactional experience, with substantial time at the partner or senior counsel level.
- Deep experience in one or more of the following: commercial acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures and equity structures, real estate finance and lending, development and construction, or sale-leaseback transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to originate business and a portable book of client relationships.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiating, and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership presence and the ability to mentor and develop junior attorneys.
- Collaborative working style with a commitment to firm culture and client service.
Compensation & Structure
The firm offers a competitive partnership compensation structure commensurate with experience, portable business, and contribution to the practice.Full details will be discussed with qualified candidates. Compensation starts at $350,000 .
