Data Designers

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Snowflake Data Engineer with at least 6 years of experience in database design, development, and data pipeline implementation. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake, strong SQL and Python skills, and a solid background in ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.

You will collaborate closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to design scalable data solutions that meet critical business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Design and Development:
  
  Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure database solutions using Snowflake.
  

  
  

• 
  

  Data Integration:
  
  Develop and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources into Snowflake, leveraging Python scripts and stored procedures.
  

  
  

• 
  

  Data Modeling:
  
  Create and maintain logical and physical data models to support analytics, reporting, and operational workflows.
  

  
  

• 
  

  Collaboration:
  
  Partner with data analysts, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  

  
  

• 
  

  Performance Tuning:
  
  Monitor database performance and make recommendations for optimization, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  

  
  

• 
  

  Documentation:
  
  Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architectures, data flows, configurations, and technical processes.
  

  
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:
  

  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in database development.
    

  • Strong working experience with Snowflake and at least one other cloud-based data platform (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery).
    

• Technical Skills:
  

  • Proficiency in SQL for complex query development and performance tuning.
    

  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration best practices.
    

  • Expertise in data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
    

  • Experience building data pipelines using Python (including libraries such as Pandas, SQLAlchemy, or similar).
    

  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
    

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
  

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and innovate scalable data solutions.
    

• Communication:
  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, DBT, or AWS Glue.
  

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  

• Certifications in Snowflake or any cloud data engineering specialization.
  

• Experience working in Agile environments.
