- Author complex, high-fidelity reasoning traces that capture how an LLM should plan, use tools, and make decisions to solve real technical tasks
- Design and document step-by-step decision-making sequences that reflect senior-level architectural thinking
- Review and refine reasoning traces to ensure clarity, logical consistency, and optimal tool-use documentation
- Develop data strategies that help LLMs navigate intricate, real-world problem-solving scenarios
- Apply your understanding of model behavior to produce training data that meaningfully improves LLM reasoning reliability
- Experienced in machine learning, AI research, or a closely related technical field — with a strong focus on model reasoning and decision-making
- Skilled at decomposing complex problems into clear, logical, well-documented steps
- Familiar with advanced LLM evaluation and training methodologies
- A precise, structured thinker who can communicate technical reasoning in writing with clarity
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or model evaluation systems
- Top-tier Kaggle competition results (Grandmaster or Master level) demonstrating deep command of model performance and feature engineering
- Background in AI safety, RLHF, or preference data collection
- Experience writing technical documentation or structured evaluation rubrics
- Work directly with leading AI research labs on some of the most consequential model training projects in the field
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, high-impact technical work
