- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
- Design challenging, advanced chemistry problems to test and benchmark AI performance across areas like chemical engineering, biochemistry, and organic chemistry
- Develop clear, rigorous, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate expert-level reasoning
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, logical soundness, and quality of reasoning
- Collaborate with researchers to refine and improve benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry topics
- Provide structured, constructive feedback that helps AI models improve over time
- Currently pursuing or holding a Master's degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains
- Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
- No prior AI or data annotation experience required
- Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation frameworks
- Familiarity with how large language models (LLMs) work
- Background spanning multiple chemistry sub-disciplines
