- Design, build, and optimize high-performance C systems supporting large-scale AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows
- Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for data annotation, validation, and quality control at scale
- Improve reliability, throughput, and safety across existing production C codebases
- Identify performance bottlenecks, edge cases, and systemic issues — then implement scalable, elegant fixes
- Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to accelerate model training and evaluation cycles
- Participate in synchronous design reviews to iterate on system architecture and implementation decisions
- Native or fluent English speaker with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Full-stack developer with a deep systems programming background
- 5 years of professional experience writing production-grade C (C 17 or C 20 preferred)
- Deep understanding of computer architecture, SIMD intrinsics, and cache coherency for compute-heavy workloads
- Expertise in lock-free programming and maximizing parallelism using threading libraries
- Able to commit 20–40 hours per week consistently
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality pipelines, or evaluation systems
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, model training, or benchmarking infrastructure
- Experience building distributed systems or developer tooling
- Work directly on production systems used by leading AI research labs — your code ships and it matters
