Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to support clients’ goals.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting, promoting independence.
- Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to track progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support the development and execution of individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Use effective behavior management techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate with supervisors, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in care and communication.
- Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and managing sensitive medical records accurately.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy methods, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), is essential.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation practices, and medical records management.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior management strategies effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for teaching, data collection, and collaborating with team members.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Must be able to follow detailed care plans and adhere strictly to confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations.
