Dental Office Manager
Dental Care of Riverside - We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Dental Office Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our dental practice. This role is ideal for someone who understands both the business and patient-care sides of dentistry and is confident leading a team, presenting treatment, and helping patients move forward with recommended care.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of dental office management experience, is highly proficient in Open Dental, and has hands-on experience with treatment coordination, billing, insurance, and treatment plan presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily front-office operations and ensure the practice runs efficiently
- Lead, support, and hold the administrative team accountable to established workflows and goals
- Confidently present treatment plans and help patients understand the value and importance of recommended care
- Discuss treatment costs, insurance benefits, financing, and payment options with patients
- Follow up on unscheduled and outstanding treatment to improve case acceptance
- Coordinate complex and high-value treatment cases from presentation through scheduling
- Manage patient scheduling and help maintain a productive provider and hygiene schedule
- Oversee dental billing, insurance claims, accounts receivable, and patient balances
- Monitor outstanding claims and ensure timely follow-up and resolution
- Review practice performance, including production, collections, case acceptance, and scheduling opportunities
- Resolve patient concerns professionally and maintain a high standard of patient experience
- Maintain accurate patient and financial information within Open Dental
- Work closely with doctors and leadership to identify opportunities for practice growth and operational improvement
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of dental office management experience
- Strong working knowledge of Open Dental
- Proven experience with treatment coordination and treatment plan presentation
- Ability to confidently discuss and close treatment plans
- Dental billing and insurance experience
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and scheduling
- Experience managing patient accounts, claims, and financial arrangements
- Strong leadership and team-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment
