About Aligned AI

Most organizations that want to deploy AI across their business cannot afford to. Frontier-class capability is priced for pilots, not for production, and the vendors selling it retain the data and the intelligence that use generates. Aligned AI exists to change both of those facts.

We deliver frontier-class AI at a fraction of the cost. Our orchestration architecture analyzes every request, identifies the capabilities it requires, selects the models best suited to the work, and determines whether they should run independently, sequentially, or together. It evaluates and verifies their outputs before returning a final response. Applying the right intelligence and the right level of compute to each task is what produces frontier-class results at economics that make company-wide deployment practical.

We currently develop three products: a consumer application for individuals and households who want a capable assistant that respects their privacy, an API for developers and software teams embedding AI into applications and workflows, and custom deployments for organizations that need private environments, enterprise integrations, and purpose-built solutions.

About the team

We are an early team based in Lehi, Utah, building both the orchestration platform and the business around it. Product today is run by the founders. You would be among the first dedicated hires for the function, working directly with the VP of Product and alongside engineering and the people closest to our customers.

About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager to own defined areas of the Aligned AI product across one or more of our three lines: the consumer application, the developer API, and custom enterprise deployments.

In this role, you will

• Own a defined product area end-to-end: understand the problem, define the solution, write the spec, drive execution, and measure the result
• Write product specifications that are complete enough that engineering can build from them without chasing down answers
• Talk to users regularly and bring what you learn back into the product with enough structure that it can actually change what gets built
• Coordinate across engineering, design, and go-to-market to keep work moving and surface blockers before they slow the team down
• Translate product decisions into clear communication for the team, for customers, and for leadership
• Bring market signal into prioritization so that what we build reflects what the people using it actually need

What success looks like

• Features you own ship on time, work correctly, and produce measurable outcomes against the goals you set for them
• Users in your product area understand what they can do with Aligned AI and find it easier to get value over time
• Engineering spends its time building, not waiting for answers or re-reading ambiguous specs

You may be a good fit if you have

• 0 to 2 years in product management, with shipped products you can speak to in depth
• Strong writing and communication, with a track record of specs and briefs
• Fluency with product analytics and comfort being accountable to outcome metrics
• Experience working in a small team where you set your own direction more than you received it
• Enough technical depth to hold a substantive conversation with engineers about what something costs to build and why

Strong candidates may also have

• Experience on a consumer subscription product, a developer tool, or an enterprise software product
• Experience at an early-stage company where the product surface was actively changing
• Familiarity with AI products and a point of view on where the category is going

Logistics

This role is based in or near Lehi, Utah. We are also considering candidates working remotely from within the United States.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this role is $0-$110,000. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and location. Specifics are discussed during the interview process.
