What You’ll Be Doing
As an Inside Sales Engineer, you’ll serve as a key liaison between customers, engineering, marketing, and operations. Your role blends technical aptitude with commercial focus, ensuring customers receive timely proposals, world-class service, and proactive communication.
Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
- Customer Engagement - Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers; understand their business needs and project timelines.
- Sales Execution - Qualify inbound leads, draft and follow up on proposals, and manage the entire sales process in our CRM (HubSpot).
- Technical Collaboration - Work closely with engineering and estimation to develop accurate, compelling proposals and technical documentation.
- Marketing Partnership - Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, trade shows, and lead generation. Help craft and refine sales collateral.
- Order & Data Management - Oversee order processing workflows and sales data reporting; track KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
- Process Optimization - Streamline communication between sales, service, and production teams to improve customer experience and response time.
- Event Participation – Specified travel of approx. 30% is required to represent Align at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who thrives at the intersection of sales, engineering, and customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field – or equivalent experience.
- 2 years in inside sales, customer service, or sales coordination (preferably in commercial, industrial, or technical markets).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to read drawings and understand mechanical systems. (CapEx experience a plus)
- Spanish language proficiency (preferred but not required).
