DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST
Align Life Ministries in Lebanon, PA is seeking an individual with experience in digital communications and social media to create content, enhance brand awareness, and increase supporter and client engagement online.
The successful candidate will have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience, be detail-oriented, responsible, and self-motivated.
This is a full-time hourly position with full-time benefits, to begin when the applicant is available.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Objectives of the Position: The Digital Marketing Specialist advances the ministry’s mission by supporting and enhancing external messaging through digital and social media communication and marketing efforts to improve ministry connections with current and potential supporters, ministry and church leaders, clients, and potential customers for ministry-produced resources.
Reports to: Director of Marketing & Communications
Works in conjunction with: Executive Vice President, Vice President of Church & Supporter Relations, Director of Marketing & Communications, Director of Client Services, Community Outreach Coordinator, Events Coordinator, and other staff as determined.
Qualifications:
1. Be a committed Christian who demonstrates an active personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
2. Exhibit a strong commitment, proficiency, and dedication to sharing the gospel with others, the pro-life position, and stewarding sexuality with integrity.
3. Be able to initiate, lead, participate, and thrive in a culture where alignment with the God of the Bible, relational community, and discerning prayer is woven into all aspects of the ministry.
4. Have excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and problem-solving skills.
5. Have experience with creating content for and managing engagement on social media platforms including (but not limited to) Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.
6. Have experience creating, optimizing, and reporting on Meta ad campaigns.
7. Have ability to create/produce/provide simple graphics and in-house videos.
8. Demonstrate proficiency with WordPress and Microsoft Office suite.
9. Have ability to work collaboratively with other staff members across departments.
10. Have excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and tasks.
11. Be attentive to details.
12. Be self-motivated and able to carry out responsibilities autonomously within an established framework.
Clearances: The Digital Marketing Specialist must provide successful completion of a Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check and Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance prior to employment. Expenses for these reports will be reimbursed by the ministry.
Duties:
1. Support, communicate, and further the ministry’s mission to champion the gospel of Jesus Christ and the sacredness of human life through digital means that align with the ministry’s communications plan.
- Be familiar with and utilize the communications goals, brand standards, audiences, communications calendar, etc.
- Monitor and enforce the ministry’s overall digital communication portfolio to ensure it aligns with brand standards.
2. Build, execute, analyze, and enhance the ministry’s social media strategy for its various brands and unique audiences.
- Manage and execute the ministry’s social media content calendar in conjunction with the ministry’s communications calendar and client advertising plans.
- Serve as the primary social media content creator/developer, targeting clients, supporters, and customers. Create ideas, gather content, write copy, take photos, and produce videos.
- Moderate user-generated content as appropriate.
- Recommend and implement improvements to the social media strategy through ongoing analytics tracking.
- Prepare regular reports on the ministry’s digital effectiveness.
3. Perform additional duties as needed to support the ministry’s digital presence.
- Develop, execute, analyze, and enhance mass digital communication to a variety of audiences utilizing the ministry’s donor database and additional sources.
- Write and edit assigned ministry online content as requested, possibly including copy for webpages, social media messages, e-newsletters, and bulk communication (email marketing, text, etc.).
- Write and digitally disseminate press releases as requested.
- Maintain records of logins, passwords, domain name expiration dates, etc. related to digital and social media channels.
- Proofread assigned communications as requested.
- Maintain knowledge of current and trending digital practices to make recommendations related to information design, platforms, etc. to enhance/expand the ministry’s online and digital presence.
- Have an ongoing awareness of the ministry’s online reputation and brand, as well as that of industry peers, etc.
- Contribute data and information for the annual digital communications budget.
