About the Role:
Align Integrated Care PLLC is looking for a passionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing team in Sandston, VA. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for new and existing patients
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions across the lifespan
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans including psychopharmacology management
- Provide medication management, including prescribing and adjusting psychiatric medications as clinically indicated
- Collaborate with an integrated care team including therapists, physicians, and case managers
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies
Requirements:
- Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) board certification required
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Virginia
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a psychiatric/mental health specialty
- Experience in psychiatric evaluation, psychopharmacology, and behavioral health treatment
- DEA license and ability to prescribe controlled substances
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
- Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated, multidisciplinary care team
