Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in Power Electronics and Motor Control Systems to lead the design, analysis, and validation of electronic control assemblies for Brushless DC and induction motors. This role is critical to the advancement of next-generation aircraft cargo handling and actuation systems within our Aerospace programs.What you will be doing:Technical lead for electronic circuit development, working cross-functionally with systems engineering, mechanical design, embedded software, manufacturing, and external certification to deliver compliant, robust, and manufacturable solutionsLead development of electronic system architectures and detailed circuit designs in accordance with customer requirements, RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD, and internal design standardsGenerate and maintain system specifications, detailed schematics, design analyses, and circuit justification reports to support design reviews, compliance audits, and airworthiness certificationDevelop and execute qualification, functional, and environmental test plans to verify design integrity and compliancePerform hardware/software integration, functional verification, and troubleshooting across prototype and production configurationsDesign for both low- and high-voltage aerospace applications, including 28 VDC, 270 VDC, and 115V–400Hz AC systemsApply deep knowledge of power stage design, gate drivers, protection circuitry, and motor control theory, including sensorless and Hall-effect-based commutation strategiesSupport thermal management and packaging solutions to meet harsh environmental conditions and mission duration requirementsUtilize electronic design tools: Altium Designer, PSPICE, and MATLAB/Simulink for schematic capture, simulation, and analysisCollaborate with embedded software developers and system engineers to define control interfaces, communication protocols (CAN bus, RS-485), and diagnosticsEnsure compliance with IPC-A-610 Class 3 and other aerospace quality and workmanship standardsParticipate in formal design reviews, configuration control processes, and risk assessments in accordance with AS9100???????What you need to qualify:10 years' hands-on electronics design and validation, ideally within an AS9100 environmentBachelor's Degree, Electrical Engineering (emphasis on Power Electronics preferred); Master's Degree with defense/aerospace experience a plusExpertise in motor drive design, including control of BLDC and/or induction motors for aerospace or defense applicationProven experience supporting product certification, compliance testing, and technical documentation in regulated industriesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective actionsProficiency with PSPICE, Altium Designer, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or equivalent toolsFamiliarity with embedded firmware (C/C ) and DSP/FPGA integration is preferredKnowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation strategies and aerospace standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, -704, -1275)Willingness to travel occasionally to support program reviews, testing, and supplier integration activitiesDemonstrated accountability, ownership of schedules, and strong attention to detail in documentation.What's in it for you:Competitive salaryExcellent benefitsMatching 401k planTuition reimbursementWork for an established and growing company with an entrepreneurial spirit!
