Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive ballet lesson plans tailored to various age groups and skill levels, including early childhood, preschool, and adult education.
- Lead engaging ballet classes that emphasize proper technique, posture, musicality, and performance skills.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students.
- Provide individualized feedback and tutoring to help students improve their technique and achieve their dance goals.
- Incorporate elements of theater, choreography, and movement improvisation to enrich dance education.
- Utilize photography skills to document student progress and performances for promotional or educational purposes.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or other educators on student development and behavior management strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in ballet instruction with a strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Demonstrated ability to work with children, preschoolers, and adults in educational or dance settings.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques suitable for diverse age groups and learning needs.
- Experience in tutoring students individually or in small groups to enhance their dance skills.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles, special education needs, and behavior management strategies.
- Skills in theater arts or performing arts that complement dance instruction are a plus.
- Ability to incorporate creative elements such as sewing costumes or staging performances when appropriate.
