We are looking for a full-time Chinese-speaking Architectural Job Captain to manage our Bay Area design projects. As an Architectural Job Captain at ALIGCUS, you will expect some responsibilities as follows:
Job Description:
● Collaborate with both architect teams in the U.S. office and China office to manage company design projects from design stage to permit pull.
● Enhance the communication, connection, and collaboration between the U.S. architect team and the China architect team, coordinate and cooperate efficiently to promote the progress of the project;
● Liaise with city/county authorities and related organizations, promptly following through with planning submissions, correction discussions, resubmissions, and permit submissions;
● Schedule work time and workload efficiently to meet project deadlines and commitments;
● Actively participate in project meetings, documenting discussions through detailed meeting minutes, and contribute to quality assurance/quality control review sessions at project milestones;
● Assist with internal teams in consulting with clientele and stakeholders on design project and drafts.
● Check plans for permits before submission, ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.
Qualifications:
● Strong communication skills, with proficiency in both Chinese Mandarin and English to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders;
● Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field from a U.S. institution;
● Minimum of four (4) years of architectural work experience in the U.S. and Bay Area region, good at facilitating project execution and effective project management;
● Minimum of four (4) years of work experience with ADU projects in the Bay area demonstrating a sound understanding of architectural practices, project process, site planning, and building codes, can quickly deal with correction as well as other related issues and submit plans with good quality;
● Excellent problem-solving skills, an independent and analytical mindset, attentive listening abilities, and a commitment to follow through;
● Team leadership and coordination ability, goal-oriented, strong subjective initiative, efficient and open-minded;
● Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively within a team, fostering positive working relationships with other coworkers;
● Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite;
● Possession of a valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
