Cultiva Program Coordinator

Aliento is seeking a Cultiva Program Coordinator to support the implementation of our Cultiva arts & healing programming in schools and community settings. This role is vital in coordinating events, facilitating workshops, supporting students, and collecting feedback to ensure the program's continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), community-minded, and experienced in working with youth and immigrant communities. This position is best suited for someone who is organized, collaborative, and passionate about mental health, education, and the arts.

• Coordinate logistics for school and community events in collaboration with teachers, partners, and facilitators.
• Lead participant outreach for events.
• Schedule and support facilitators.
• Drive planning and day-of logistics, and execution.
• Lead post-event debriefs and gather stories of impact.
• Lead arts and healing workshops, open studios, open mics, and other Cultiva events.
• Ensure high-quality program delivery that is aligned with the evolving needs of students and their families.
• Provide feedback to improve and adapt curriculum content in alignment with organizational goals.

• Build relationships with students (grades 4–college) to support their engagement in programming.
• Ensure effective implementation of the Cultiva arts & healing curriculum.
• Collaborate with fellows, interns, and student leaders on outreach strategies.
• Implement Aliento’s ladder of engagement for ongoing youth participation.

• Assist with ongoing program development and documentation of best practices.
• Collect, analyze, and report event survey data.
• Contribute to Cultiva's annual goals and strategy.

• Support Aliento’s initiatives by sharing content on personal social media. 
• Attend meetings with relevant stakeholders.
• Meet with the assigned supervisor.
• Attend  whole staff meetings to represent the program. 
• Attend quarterly step-backs and bi-annual retreats (non-negotiables). 
• Represent the organization with the highest level of integrity at external events, media interviews, etc.  
• Participate and implement cross-staff training.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to increase your skills.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 1–3 years of experience in program coordination, youth engagement, or community organizing.
• Experience working with the immigrant community.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Skilled in building and maintaining relationships across diverse backgrounds.
• Comfortable facilitating programs with students and community members.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Available to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to various work sites, meetings, or events as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, public health, arts, or a related field.
• Experience with arts and/or mental health programming.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Asana, and Slack (training available).
• Experience in cross-departmental collaboration or inter-organizational partnerships.



• Salary Range: $48,000 – $50,500 (commensurate with experience)
