In 1999 Joseph R Aliciene Jr. developed the financial planning side of the firm, specializing in tax-smart investing and leads the financial planning side of the practice. What it’s like to work here: As the first point of contact to greet clients, the Wealth Management/Accounting Assistant is a client experience coordinator who responds to client inquiries, carries out transactions and conducts client outreach and follow-up activities. The Wealth Management/Accounting Assistant is instrumental in developing strong internal and external relationships and works closely with suppliers, partners and our parent company, Avantax. We believe in a team-based approach using collaboration and accountability.
Location: 34 Main Street, Wyalusing PA
Position Description: This job position will be focused on the financial planning side of the firm. Some responsibilities will include:
- Communication: Primary point of contact for clients by phone, email, and in person. Answer and direct incoming calls. Good writing and communication skills.
- Account Paperwork: Assist with establishing new accounts, processing asset transfers, and completing ongoing client paperwork and service requests.
- Client Meeting Preparation: Prepare client meeting agendas, portfolio summary reports, meeting materials, invitations, and other documents necessary to support client meetings
- Meeting Follow-Up: Review meeting notes and prepare follow up items, client correspondence, and administrative tasks in the prescribed format.
- Organization: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records, documents and reports. Coordinate meetings, including scheduling and sending reminders; and assist the team with the weekly planning of priorities.

- Tax Season Support: Assist the team with tax preparation activities, including gathering, organizing, and tracking of tax information and supporting documents.

- Technology: Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and learn the firm's CRM, financial planning, accounting, tax, and other technology systems as needed.
Qualification Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Accounting and/or Finance Degree preferred
- In lieu of degree, 2 years of industry experience
- Willingness and desire to obtain FINRA Series 6 and/or Series 7, FINRA Series 63 and Series 65 or 66, and Insurance License
- You will be required to be fingerprinted prior to handling certain financial paperwork.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position with hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST. During tax season additional hours will be available.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
