Seeking An Operations Manager For Campground ASAP

Position: Seasonal (Immediate Hire - November)

Alice Springs RV Park & Resort is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our family-friendly campground through the remainder of the 2026 season. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on guest experience, staff supervision, campground operations, and ensuring the park runs smoothly each day.

While our campground's operating season runs through November, this position has strong potential to become a year-round role for the right candidate. We're really looking for someone who wants to grow with us and help build the future of our operation over the long term, rather than simply filling a seasonal position.

You'll be supported by a remote administrative and management team supporting with marketing, HR, accounting support, and administrative operations, allowing you to focus on leading the day-to-day campground operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

Campground Operations

• Managing all aspects of campground operations, including reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and campsite maintenance.
• Ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the campground.
• Recruiting, training, mentoring, and supervising staff and work campers, effectively managing their maintenance, housekeeping, and security duties and schedules & performance management.
• Reviewing and maintaining relationships with current and future vendors, monitoring invoices and contracts for accuracy.
• Accurately maintaining store, bar and concessions inventory and implementing strategies to increase revenue.

Customer Service

• Providing exceptional customer service to campers, promptly and courteously addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests.
• Handling camper feedback and resolving issues to maintain a positive camping experience.

Financial and Bookings

• Assisting accounting team as needed with AP/AR, payroll, and transaction reports.
• Overseeing and becoming an expert in our reservation system, Campspot, ensuring accurate and efficient booking processes.
• Managing campground fees and revenue collection.
• Weekly Cash Reconciliation and Auditing

Maintenance and Facilities

• Conducting daily walk-throughs and quality checks to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
• Coordinating repairs and maintenance with our Work Campers to ensure the safety and comfort of campers.
• Making recommendations to the ownership group for capital improvement projects.
• Maintaining excellent curb appeal at all times.

Safety and Security

• Establishing and enforcing campground programs and policies to ensure camper safety.
• Ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, compliance, and safety regulations.
• Implementing proper safety procedures and risk management programs to promote staff health, safety, and welfare.
• Responding to emergencies and incidents, coordinating with local authorities when necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in campground or hospitality management is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of inventory control and product cost relationships.
• Understanding of fundamental accounting concepts, budgeting and financial management.
• Excellent customer service, guest relations, and conflict management skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, high-traffic, and sometimes high-stress environment with changing priorities.
• Knowledge of campground operations, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Availability to be on call 24 hours a day during occasional periods.
• Proficiency in computer systems and reservation software, Campspot, preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneDrive.
• Strong personal integrity, accountability, and a can-do attitude.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Additional Information

• The Operations Manager will be required to work weekends and holidays, as campgrounds often experience increased traffic during these times.
