Design Intern (Spring / Summer)

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Design Intern will engage in a variety of creative, organizational and administrative duties and tasks to provide day-to-day operational support for our Soft and Tailored Wovens Design team.

ROLE PRIORITIES :

Provide design-related support for samples, sketches, research and tech packsAssist in preparation for meetings including compiling and organizing materialsAssist designers by doing print placement, cad work and supplementary sketchesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assemble inspiration boards, research packets and organize factory mocksCoordinate with Design team on the daily needs for sketching, color and print CADsWork with Design team to prepare for meetings including pulling and organzing fabrics, prints and samplesGENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT :

Organize and scan mocksPrepare research, sketches and CADs for meetingsOther administrative tasks as neededESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

Experience in fashion, design, product development, or marketingHighly organized; excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritze responsibilities, work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simutaneouslyAn excellent communicator; strong written, verbal and listening skils, can understand and follow directionsStrong interpersonal skills with a positive, collaborative styleA resourceful self-starter who can work independentlyProficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator and Photoshop required)

SALARY : $16.50 / hour
