AI Solutions Architect

As the AI Solutions Architect, you will be the primary technical leader and customer advocate for Alibaba Cloud's cutting-edge AI Model-as-a-Service (Model Studio) and Tongyi Models (Qwen & Wan) offerings. You will guide our enterprise clients in leveraging the power of AI to solve their most complex business challenges and drive innovation.

[Core Responsibilities]

1. AI Solution Design & Pre-Sales:

- Collaborate with key enterprise customers to understand their business goals and architect bespoke AI solutions using our MaaS platform.

- Design and lead POC engagements for complex use cases, including RAG, model fine-tuning, and agent-based systems.

- Translate customer requirements into robust, scalable, and secure architecture designs for deploying and managing LLM on Alibaba Cloud.

2. Technical Evangelism & Strategic Influence

- Act as a thought leader in the AI space, challenging existing paradigms and bringing innovative ideas to our customers and internal teams.

- Deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to key decision-makers, from C-level executives to lead engineers.

- Analyze market trends in the rapidly evolving generative AI landscape, identifying opportunities and developing competitive differentiation for our AI MaaS solutions.

3. Customer Success & Technical Advisory

- Guide customers through the entire AI adoption lifecycle, from initial ideation and model selection to deployment, monitoring, and optimization (MLOps).

- Serve as the trusted technical advisor, ensuring successful implementation and providing best practices for model lifecycle management, cost optimization, and security.

- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and orchestrate resources across product and engineering teams to ensure customer success.

4. Ecosystem Enablement & Knowledge Sharing

- Develop a repository of high-value technical assets, including AI solution blueprints, best practice guides, and compelling case studies.

- Create and deliver training materials to empower our internal sales teams and ecosystem partners to effectively position and sell our AI MaaS offerings.

- Capture critical feedback from customers and the market to directly influence the roadmap of Alibaba Cloud's AI products and services.

[Basic Qualifications]

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.

- 7 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Architect, AI/ML Engineer, Data Scientist) with a strong focus on machine learning and AI applications.

- Proven experience architecting and deploying solutions on at least one major cloud platform (Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP).

[Required Technical Expertise]

- Deep Understanding of AI/ML Concepts: Solid foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP). Deep familiarity with LLM architectures, fine-tuning methodologies (e.g., LoRA), RAG, and prompt engineering.

- Hands-on AI/ML Frameworks: Proficiency with modern AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, and extensive experience with the Hugging Face ecosystem (Transformers, PEFT, etc.).

- Generative AI Development: Practical experience building LLM-powered applications using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.

- MLOps & Infrastructure: Strong knowledge of the machine learning lifecycle and MLOps principles.

- Vector Databases & Data Technologies: Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Milvus, Pinecone, ChromaDB) and their role in AI applications. Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases is a plus.

- Preferred Alibaba Cloud Experience: Familiarity with Alibaba Cloud's AI MaaS (Model Studio), and Tongyi Models (Qwen & Wan)

- Language Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Mandarin is highly advantageous.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $132,000/year and $216,000/year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
