We are looking for a motivated and caring Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to become part of our team for outpatient and home based settings
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans designed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Deliver direct patient services including therapeutic exercises, functional skill training, and mobility support.
- Track patient progress and promptly share updates with the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy programs and at-home activities.
- Document treatment sessions and patient outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Work alongside other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to strengthen occupational therapy skills.
Qualifications
- Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
- Solid understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to therapy practice.
- Prior experience in home health, skilled nursing, outpatient, or hospital-based care is preferred.
- Skilled in adapting care plans to meet each patient’s individual needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Able to function independently while contributing as part of a team.
- Background or interest in pediatrics or occupational health is desirable.
