What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, Manufacturing position at Ali Industries?
The primary function of a supervisor is to review production schedules, create and execute plans for completion, ensuring to maintain a safe, efficient and organized work environment; while providing leadership and guidance to all shift personnel. This is a 2nd shift position.
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Enforcing safety rules and procedures
- Directing and coordinating the activities of associates (i.e. machine operator, material handlers)
- Review and analyze production schedule and reports to determine production schedules and timely completion of orders
- Communicate with other department supervisors and managers regarding interdepartmental activities
- Establish and review work schedules and production rates for all machines/areas
- Reviewing production tickets and ensure each station has all the needed components
- Have a solid understanding of all machine/operations and assist with production processes as needed
- Inspect and examine parts, raw materials, finished goods for quality and provide feedback to team members
- Work with management to resolve problems or complaints as they arrive
- Interrupt job tickets, company policies and procedures for associates
- Work with company ERP software (SAP)
- Other duties may be assigned as required

- Learn all manual tasks performed within the department.
- Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures, and following department specific quality control processes and procedures.

- Adhere to Quality principles and participate in all departmental and company-wide Quality activities.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
This position is bonus eligible.
