Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math skills for processing sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas.
- Assist in food preparation and handling, ensuring all items meet safety and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; communicate needs to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Stay knowledgeable about menu items, promotions, and coffee brewing techniques to enhance customer experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the café or food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to handle food safely and adhere to health regulations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
