What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crossing Guard position at Alhambra Elementary School District?
To provide assistance to students at specified crosswalks, promoting safe pedestrian traffic procedures.
- Complete district inservice training program before assuming responsibility for the crosswalk.
- Establish and maintain good student conduct at the crosswalk.
- Assure that students walk in the crosswalk.
- Be on duty at the designated times to promote timely routines for students.
- Report unsafe student behavior in or near the crosswalk to the principal.
- Set up crossing signs as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Interest in children, their education, and their safety. Good physical condition, including adequate vision and hearing necessary to fulfill performance responsibilities.
