What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infection Prevenionalist/Quality Assurance Nurse position at Algona Manor?
The Algona Manor is currently seeking an Strong Nurse leader to lead our Infection Prevention and Control team. Candidate must be self motivated and flexible. Position is 40 hours/week and benefit eligible. We offer health, vision, dental, and several other benefits through Colonial Life. This is a Monday-Friday position with on-call responsibilities.
- Full-time position (40 hours/1-week pay period)
- Benefits eligible
- Monday-Friday and as needed to maintain department
- Will collaborate with other departments as well as physicians to ensure effective performance and quality outcomes to all patients served
- Will coordinate comprehensive hospital-wide infection prevention and control program
- Responsible for day-to-day administration and development of infection prevention and control program
- Must be self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic health databases such as Point Click Care is a plus!
- Required: Valid State of Iowa Registered Nurse license
