AWS Devops engineer(Need Local to Chicago)

Introduction:

This position is for an AWS DevOps engineer who will be responsible for managing and optimizing the cloud infrastructure for our company. The ideal candidate will have experience with Amazon VPC, ECS/EKS, Direct Connect, Harness, and Terraform. This role will require strong communication skills and the ability to work out of Downers Grove in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Amazon VPCs to ensure secure and efficient virtual network environments
• Set up and maintain ECS/EKS clusters for containerized applications
• Establish Direct Connect connections to on-premises data centers for secure and low-latency network access
• Utilize Harness for continuous delivery and deployment of applications
• Create infrastructure as code using Terraform for automated provisioning and management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the cloud environment
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices for AWS DevOps

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Experience with Amazon VPC and designing virtual networks
• Proficiency in setting up and managing ECS/EKS clusters for containerized applications
• Knowledge of Direct Connect and establishing secure network connections
• Familiarity with Harness for continuous delivery and deployment
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a hybrid environment

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
• Experience with other cloud services like Azure or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Shell
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch and ELK stack
