Lead Storage Infrastructure Architect - High-Frequency Trading
Our client, a top-tier quantitative trading firm renowned for its engineering excellence, is expanding their storage infrastructure team. Looking to bring on a Senior Storage Architect to drive and implement next-generation storage solutions that power their ML/HPC environments. You'll architect ultra-low latency systems at petabyte scale, working alongside world-class engineers firmwide, and globally. The role offers industry-leading compensation and flexible work arrangements (3 days in office) in NYC.
You Will:
- Own end-to-end storage architecture strategy, design, and implementation
- Pioneer cutting-edge solutions for complex trading systems
- Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning storage, OS, and networking
- Build and execute multi-year technology roadmaps
- Guide teams in delivering high-performance storage systems
- Drive critical architectural decisions impacting firm-wide operations
Your Profile:
- Proven architect of large-scale storage systems in HPC environments
- Expert in distributed systems and file systems (Lustre, GPFS, WEKA, S3, CEPH)
- Track record of leading sophisticated technical initiatives
- Deep knowledge of commodity storage technologies and industry trends
- Strong programming background in Python and UNIX/Linux
- Exceptional problem-solver with outstanding communication skills
