The Vice President of Procurement will serve as a strategic leader overseeing all purchasing and supply chain operations across ALG Senior’s portfolio of communities. This role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, compliance, and vendor performance. The VP of Procurement will work closely with executive leadership, operations, and community teams to ensure procurement supports ALG’s mission and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy for all communities and the corporate Support Center.
- Lead vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management to secure competitive pricing and service quality.
- Establish strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Optimize procurement processes, policies, and systems to drive efficiency, transparency, and cost savings.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and clinical leadership to ensure supply chain strategies support community needs and resident care.
- Monitor industry trends and leverage data to identify opportunities for innovation and savings.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10 years of progressive procurement and supply chain experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong background in multi-site or healthcare/senior living procurement preferred.
- Proven success in contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost reduction strategies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making ability.
