We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Regional Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across multiple senior living communities. This leadership role is ideal for a maintenance professional who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring others, and ensuring our communities remain safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
As the Regional Maintenance Manager, you will provide technical expertise, training, quality assurance, and operational support to Maintenance Managers and Maintenance Technicians throughout your assigned territory. You'll work closely with community Executive Directors, Regional Directors of Operations, and the Director of Maintenance to ensure maintenance programs are efficient, cost-effective, and completed to the highest standards.
This position requires extensive travel and a strong working knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, vendor management, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll DoLeadership & OperationsProvide technical leadership and support to Maintenance Managers across multiple communities.
Conduct routine facility inspections to ensure communities are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.
Review maintenance work orders for quality, accuracy, and timely completion.
Troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and determine the most effective and cost-efficient solutions.
Assist communities with hands-on maintenance support when needed.
Collaborate with Executive Directors and Regional Directors of Operations to improve maintenance performance and operational efficiency.
Participate in interviewing and selecting Maintenance Managers within assigned communities.
Monitor preventive maintenance programs and ensure compliance with company standards.
Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to safety standards.
Validate warranty requirements before repairs are performed.
Ensure landscaping, pest control, preventive maintenance, and physical plant contracts meet company expectations.
Identify opportunities to improve facility performance and reduce long-term maintenance costs.
Build and maintain relationships with qualified contractors and service vendors.
Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance before engaging third-party contractors.
Assist with vendor selection for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and other specialty trades.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure work is completed correctly and on schedule.
High school diploma or GED.
2–3 years of maintenance leadership or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of:

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Ability to read, prioritize, and manage maintenance work orders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including email and mobile technology.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
Associate's Degree in a technical or related field.
Property management or healthcare maintenance experience.
State licensure in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, or General Contracting.
OSHA 10 Certification.

This position requires frequent walking, standing, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and working both indoors and outdoors. The position may involve exposure to chemicals, maintenance equipment, construction environments, and other workplace hazards common to facility maintenance.
ScheduleFull-time
Daily travel throughout assigned territory (80% )
On-call responsibilities on rotating weekends
Availability for after-hours emergency maintenance support
Must be available to assist communities before, during, and after severe weather or emergency events
