Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Grounds Maintenance Foreman to join our high quality landscape company in Mount Kisco. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various landscaping, gardening, and horticultural activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in lawn care, tree care, irrigation, and general landscape maintenance, with leadership qualities to supervise and guide team members when necessary. Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces.
- Conduct gardening activities such as planting, watering, fertilizing, and weed control to promote plant health.
- Maintain irrigation systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Supervise landscaping crews during projects, providing leadership and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Assist with construction activities related to landscape installations or improvements.
- Provide tree care services including pruning, removal, and health assessments.
- Conduct routine inspections of landscapes for pests, diseases, or other issues requiring attention.
- Maintain equipment and tools through regular cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with clients or team members to plan landscape projects and ensure timely completion.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, gardening, or horticulture.
- Supervising experience of 2 years preferred; ability to lead teams effectively.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care techniques, and general landscaping practices.
- Strong understanding of construction processes related to outdoor projects.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members.
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; capable of lifting heavy materials when necessary.
- Valid driver’s license.
