Job Summary
The Alfond Youth And Community Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lifeguard and Aquatics Specialist to join our team. This is a seasonal position responsible for maintaining a safe swim program for campers at the YMCA Day Camp at Camp Tracy.
The ideal candidate will have current certification in lifesaving, CPR, and first aid, as well as a current Lifeguard certification with a waterfront and open-water component. Previous experience in aquatic environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and administering a well-rounded aquatics program, including swim lessons, free swim, and other outside rental opportunities.
- Keep accurate and thorough records of attendance and participation for open swims.
- Record waterfront information as directed by standard operating procedure.
- Maintain waterfront areas neat and orderly.
- Recommend needed supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance and safety standards to be met for proper functioning of the swim area.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun experience for campers on the Waterfront during Camp Tracy.
