Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens and garments within our establishment. As a Laundry Attendant, you will ensure that all laundry processes are executed efficiently, contributing to the overall guest experience in our Laundry industry.
Responsibilities
- Launder and clean various types of fabrics, including linens, towels, and uniforms, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Operate washing machines and dryers, following proper procedures for different fabric types.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry for easy distribution to designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Wash, dry,fold, and iron linens, napkins, and tablecloths.
- Wash, dry, and fold laundry according to Laundromat process.
- Spot treat items that need special attention.
- Daily cleaning the laundry store, sanitizing the washers and dryers, emptying the trash,
- sweep and mop the floor.
- Maintain all the Laundry related paperwork.
- Greet our customers and guests.
- Sell laundry supplies.
- Organize all the items in the store as needed.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques and fabric care is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required.
