Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Schedule and manage appointments to optimize time and resources.
- Answer phone calls and emails, providing information or redirecting inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
- Verify patient information and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations (HIPAA).
- Assist patients with insurance verification and billing questions.
- Organize and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and communication.
- Provide administrative support to medical professionals and office staff as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support office operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a strong focus on patient care.
- Proficient in office management software (e.g., scheduling systems, medical record systems).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
