Alfalfa Nail Supply is a leading supplier of professional nail products, salon furniture, and pedicure spa equipment. We serve nail salons and beauty professionals nationwide through our retail locations and online store, shopANS.com.

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Shopify Developer & E-Commerce Website Manager to help maintain, design, and improve our Shopify website. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical development skills with an eye for design and a passion for creating seamless online shopping experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Shopify Website Management & Development

• Manage and maintain our Shopify website, ensuring smooth functionality and an excellent customer experience.
• Customize Shopify themes, layouts, navigation, and website features.
• Update and improve website pages, product collections, and overall site structure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website errors, bugs, and technical issues.
• Ensure the website is optimized for desktop and mobile devices.

Website Design & Landing Pages

• Design and develop engaging landing pages for promotions, seasonal sales, new product launches, and marketing campaigns.
• Create visually appealing, user-friendly website layouts that align with our brand.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to bring promotional campaigns to life on our website.
• Improve website navigation, usability, and overall shopping experience.

Shopify & Database System Integration

• Assist with integrating Shopify with our internal DBA/database system.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot data connections between Shopify and internal systems.
• Support synchronization of product information, inventory, pricing, and orders.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and automate manual processes.
• Work with internal teams or external technical providers to ensure accurate data transfers.

Website Optimization

• Improve website speed, performance, and mobile responsiveness.
• Implement SEO best practices to improve search visibility.
• Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and the customer shopping experience.
• Research and implement Shopify apps, integrations, and features as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience working with Shopify, including website management and theme customization.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid.
• Experience designing and building custom website pages or landing pages.
• Understanding of responsive website design and user experience (UX/UI).
• Familiarity with APIs, database connections, or third-party system integrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Preferred:

• 2 years of Shopify development or e-commerce website management experience.
• Experience with Shopify APIs, webhooks, and custom integrations.
• Experience connecting Shopify with ERP, inventory management, or database systems.
• Knowledge of SQL, JSON, or other data integration technologies.
• Familiarity with Figma, Adobe Photoshop, or other design tools.
• Experience with SEO, Google Analytics, or e-commerce conversion optimization.
• Experience working with large product catalogs or B2B e-commerce websites.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $20-35 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
• Position: Part-Time, approximately 15–25 hours per week.
• Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
• Flexible scheduling may be available.
