Position: Full-Time Slaughterhouse Worker / Butcher
Starting Pay: $200 per 8-hour workday ($25 per hour)

Alfajr Slaughter House is seeking reliable and experienced workers to join our halal meat-processing team. We process cattle, lambs, goats, sheep, chickens, and other livestock in a professional, sanitary environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform humane slaughtering according to company procedures and applicable halal, USDA, food-safety, and animal-welfare requirements
• Skin and dress cattle, lambs, goats, sheep, and other animals
• Cut, trim, debone, and prepare meat using knives, saws, and processing equipment
• Handle carcasses and meat products safely and carefully
• Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, processing areas, and work surfaces
• Follow all workplace safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures
• Work cooperatively with supervisors, inspectors, and other production employees
• Perform other meat-processing duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous slaughterhouse, meat-processing, butcher, or meat-cutting experience is strongly preferred
• Good knife skills and knowledge of animal processing are highly preferred
• Experience with halal slaughter is a plus
• Must be dependable, punctual, hardworking, and able to follow instructions
• Must be comfortable working around livestock, blood, raw meat, strong odors, and refrigerated areas
• Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive, physically demanding work
• Must be able to use knives and meat-processing equipment safely
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting pay of $200 for an 8-hour workday, equivalent to $25 per hour
