Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Underwrite personal lines new business, rewrite new terms, and policy changes while maintaining an acceptable loss ratio.
- Select, classify, and monitor insurance risks to maintain adequate rate for risk and ensure a profitable book of business.
- Maintain acceptable customer service standards and be thorough, consistent, and accurate in underwriting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required or CPCU designation and 5 years of insurance experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Possess basic mathematical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- The ability to understand policy language, underwriting rates, rules, guidelines, and make independent decisions.
- Must be able to apply all knowledge to underwriting personal lines business.
