Regional Vice President – Central Region (Construction Equipment)
Overview
A leading construction equipment manufacturer is seeking a Regional Vice President to lead operations across the Central United States. This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for regional performance, including commercial growth, operational excellence, and profitability.
The successful candidate will drive strategic direction, lead high-performing teams, and strengthen market position across a diverse customer base including dealers, contractors, and key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & P&L Ownership
- Own full regional P&L, including revenue growth, margin performance, and cost control
- Develop and execute regional business strategies aligned with corporate objectives
- Identify growth opportunities across product lines, markets, and channels
Sales, Market Development and Operational Excellence
- Lead regional sales teams to exceed volume, revenue, and market share targets
- Strengthen dealer networks and distribution partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with major contractors, fleet owners, and key stakeholders
- Drive improvements in forecasting, inventory management, and operational efficiency
- Ensure alignment between sales, service, and aftermarket support functions
- Monitor KPIs and implement performance improvement initiatives
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a multi-functional regional team
- Foster a high-performance, accountable, and customer-focused culture
- Support succession planning and talent development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 10 years’ leadership experience within construction equipment or related industries
- Proven track record of managing regional P&L and delivering commercial growth
- Strong understanding of dealer networks and distribution models
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Central US
