Responsibilities
- Safely operate different types of wheelchair vans
- Load and unload patients accurately, ensuring proper handling and securing of customers using equipment such as wheelchair
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Follow planned routes diligently, adjusting as needed to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and any incidents that occur during shifts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate rides and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
- Ensure all customers transported securely and in accordance with regulatory standards .
Experience
- Proven experience driverwith a strong understanding of route driving and handling.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with various wheelchair types of vehicles
- Prior experience with load & unload procedures using wheelchair or other equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to driving and transportation.
- Valid driver’s license
