Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role based in Elyria, OH. The Carpenter will build, assemble, and repair trade show exhibits, displays, and related structures according to specifications, drawings, and shop plans. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and cutting materials, performing framing and finish work, operating hand and power tools, and ensuring all structures meet quality and safety standards. The role also involves collaborating with designers and project managers, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and preparing exhibit components for shipping and installation.
Qualifications
- Strong carpentry skills, including experience with general Carpentry and Framing.
- Proficiency in using Power Tools and Hand Tools safely and effectively.
- Experience with Finish Carpentry, including detailed trim work and high-quality surface finishes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements with accuracy.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a shop environment.
- Prior experience in exhibit, cabinet, or construction work is beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade training or apprenticeship is a plus.
