Real World Data Intern (Graduate Level)

We are looking for graduate students majoring in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field for a 12-week internship role within our Alexion - AstraZeneca Rare Disease division in Wilmington, DE from May 18 2026 to August 7 2026.

Position Description

• Assist with data cleaning and data management of various types of data, such as survey, registry and claims/EHR data
• Execute the statistical analysis of assigned projects based on RWE statistical analysis plan
• Build data models and dashboards using data visualization tools
  
  

Position Requirements

• Graduate students majoring in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2026.
• Proficiency in R, SQL, or Python is required
• Experience working with large and complex real-world data, such as survey, registry, claims, or electronic health records required
• Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
• Understanding of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
• US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
• Ability to report onsite to Wilmington, DE 3-5 days per week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.
• Compensation range: $41.50 per hour
