ALEXANDRIA REAL ESTATE EQUITIES, INC.
Boston, MA Full Time
POSTED ON 10/27/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/26/2026

We are seeking a Building Technology Integration Manager to join our Building Technology & Innovation team. This role will support the planning, coordination, implementation, and ongoing support of technology systems across Alexandria's building portfolio.

The Technology Integration Manager will work closely with internal IT, OT, InfoSec, facilities, engineering, construction, property management, and third-party vendors to support building technology systems, network infrastructure, and technology-driven projects. This individual will help improve response times, support continuity for users and building personnel.

The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, technically curious, and comfortable working across both project delivery and day-to-day operational support. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to coordinate across multiple teams, and the judgment to balance technology needs with building operations, security, and business priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the projects and technical initiatives for building technology requirements across new construction, tenant improvement, capital, and operational projects.
  • Support Cisco networks, phones, computers, servers, and building technology systems used to support building operations.
  • Assist with onsite troubleshooting and issue resolution for network, IT, AV, access control, security, BMS, and other building technology systems.
  • Coordinate with internal IT, OT, InfoSec, facilities, engineering, property management, construction teams, and external vendors to support technology projects and operational needs.
  • Support system integrations and technology initiatives across building systems, including network infrastructure, security systems, AV, BMS, server infrastructure, and related applications.
  • Assist in creating, tracking, and managing project plans, schedules, tasks, and vendor coordination.
  • Manage complicated scheduling efforts for network outages, hardware upgrades, system cutovers, and other technology-impacting work to minimize disruption to tenants, users, and building operations.
  • Attend project coordination meetings, vendor reviews, and internal planning sessions as needed.
  • Review technology designs, floor plans, construction documents, and implementation plans to identify project requirements, coordination issues, and operational impacts.
  • Verify system functionality through reviews, testing, walkthroughs, and post-installation validation.
  • Support the development of project concepts, technology standards, demonstrations, and strategic design initiatives.
  • Help document key building technology systems, processes, and support information to improve continuity and reduce reliance on individual knowledge holders.
  • Improve service response, communication, and support continuity for regional users, building personnel, and operational teams.
  • Travel as needed to support projects, site reviews, system implementations, and operational needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in technology, construction management, operations, engineering, real estate, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in project management, technology operations, real estate technology, construction technology, IT infrastructure, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating technology systems in commercial real estate, life science, construction, building operations, or enterprise IT environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of network architecture, Cisco networking, phones, computers, servers, AV systems, BMS applications, access control, security systems, and building technology platforms.
  • Ability to understand and work with floor plans, construction documents, technology drawings, and project schedules.
  • Strong project coordination skills, including planning, task tracking, communication, vendor management, and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time with limited oversight.
  • Experience coordinating planned outages, hardware upgrades, system cutovers, and vendor service activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, non-technical stakeholders, vendors, clients, and building personnel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build trust, support teamwork, resolve conflict, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Self-starter who is proactive, organized, tenacious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, technologies, and operational processes.
  • Ability to treat people with respect under all circumstances, instill trust in others, and uphold the values of the organization.
