Responsibilities
- Assist the Principal in the overall administration of the school, including curriculum development, staff supervision, and student services.
- Support the implementation of school policies, procedures, and educational programs.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and evaluate instructional strategies that enhance student learning.
- Monitor student performance and behavior, providing interventions and support as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff.
- Engage with parents and the community to promote school initiatives and address concerns.
- Assist in the management of school budgets, resources, and facilities.
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of staff members.
- Act as the Principal in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making.
- Promote a positive school climate through effective communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
- Valid state certification as an Assistant Principal or Principal.
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred.
- Strong understanding of educational best practices, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
- Proficient in using technology for educational and administrative purposes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
