Role Summary
Seeking a senior-level mechanical engineer to lead design and development of complex medical devices from concept through production. This role requires expertise in plastic component design, electromechanical systems, and regulated product development within a small, fast-paced team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full product design lifecycle, focusing on injection-molded components and assemblies
- Apply DFM/DFA principles for scalable, high-volume manufacturing
- Drive risk management, validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and compliance with regulated standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally on development, transfer, and production readiness
- Perform analysis (tolerance, materials, FEA) and oversee testing/verification
- Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 10 years in mechanical/product design, including medical device experience
- Strong background in plastics, CAD tools, and regulated environments
- Experience with design controls, validation processes, and quality systems
- Proven ability to lead projects and guide engineering teams
